Around The World In 80 Days
Around the World in 80 Days is a station game whereby camper teams must act as Phillius Fog, creating their journey around the world by crossing 8 out of 15 countries and completing their tasks…
“Phillius Fogg loved to invent things. He dedicated his life to creating and inventing new and exciting things. He had invented all kinds of things ranging from the automatic toast flipper, to a flying machine that could travel upside-down!!
However, the methods that he used were often seen as “crazy”, and the Ministry of Science thought of Phillius as a big joke. The Ministry of Science was made up of a group of old men who followed everything strictly by the book. They only used theories which had been proven with years of research. When Phillius claimed that he had invented a flying machine in which he could fly around the world in 80 days, the Ministry laughed until it hurt! So the President challenged him to prove his claim, and if he could he would give up his Presidency to Phillius…
…But just as he is preparing for his trip, Phillius is captured by Ninja’s!!
Oh my gosh, what to do, what to do?? If Phillius fails he won’t ever be able to invent again! The Campers must help him! They must travel around the world for Phillius in the next 80 days in order to prove that it is still possible!!”
Based on a story of adventure and intrigue, the games reflect the culture of the countries they represent, with campers needing to attempt to speak to natives in their own language and learn something about their culture before they can fly on to the next country!
