Capture the flag for summer camps

Capture The Flag

Capture the Flag is a CLASSIC camp game – nobody would dispute that. Even a classic can sometimes do with some spicing up however…

We’ve created 6 exciting and uniquely-themed versions of the game to keep your campers enthralled and energetic! From Kingdoms working against each other, to the 4 Hogwart’s houses fighting to be the best, these 6 variations offer different ways to split the groups, powerful skits to excite your campers and themes which carry throughout the game, each with different items as their “flags”.

Fantasy

Two kingdoms, built side by side and having been in existence for hundreds of years, are ignited into a land war. In order to prevail over their rivals they must retrieve the armor of their prospective founders – twin brothers, spawned by power and fueled by rivalry!”

This is a fantastic run-around game, highly energetic and effectively capturing the imagination of all.

Statistics:

CTF: Fantasy was one of our most popular all-camp programs. 95% of all the campers who played the game rated it highly on the weekly survey. 100% of boys of all ages who played the program loved it, and it was still rated extremely highly by girls of all ages too.(CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR STATISTICS)

Fire & Ice

The lord of the gods, Odin, has two offspring, a son and a daughter. They couldn’t be more different, as one was gifted with the powers of fire whilst the other was given the powers of ice. As they grew so did their powers. They fought constantly, much to the dismay of their father, who grew old and tired of the arguments. He decided it was time for one of his children to take the throne. Each claimed to be the most worthy and they are both equal in power, so Odin decided that a contest was in order. A contest that would take place not in the heavens but on earth. Both gods will be sent to earth in the body of a mortal, where they will lead a group of their mortal followers in a battle without bloodshed to determine who will sit on the throne of the gods.”

Statistics:

CTF: Fire & Ice was rated highly by 94% of all campers. Overall it scored equally highly with all demographics of campers, making it a great all-rounder for a coed camp with varied ages. (CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR STATISTICS)

Harry Potter

There is a thief hidden within Hogwarts! Eight of Dumbledore’s personal possessions have mysteriously gone missing and it is strongly believed that the sneaky Peeves has something to do with it…

Dumbledore will score some very generous house points to the ones who can return more of these objects than the other houses. In addition, the golden snitch has also disappeared, preventing a highly important Quidditch match from going ahead – much is at stake if it is not returned!!”

The magical air of a young hero caught up in a game loved by all aims to appeal to all ages and genders!

Statistics:

The Harry Potter Version of Capture The Flag received high ratings from 93% of all campers who played the game, and it was only slightly more popular with the younger campers, aged 8-12. Both boys and girls rated it evenly. (CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR STATISTICS)

Tribal Tiki Tension

The two tribes have had their Tikis stolen by relic hunters, and they have ‘mysteriously’ landed in the other tribe’s part of the island. In their excitement they lost the tiki pieces from both tribes and they got scattered on the opposing team’s land. The tikis got broken into 6 pieces and all the pieces need to be reclaimed! Re-forming the Tiki’s will grant the other team power over all the land, and the losing team will be forced to be their slaves! But can these relic hunters be trusted? After all, they did steal from the tribes?...We’ll have to play to find out!”

Statistics:

94% of campers rated CTF: Tribal Tiki Tension very highly. The boys at camp rated it slightly higher than the girls, but it was equally popular with younger and older campers. (CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR STATISTICS)

War of the Gods

Six of the Greek Gods have gone to war with six of the Roman gods in an all-out attempt to declare which is the most powerful nation, and who has the best Gods. Each nation must recapture six letters from the opposing nation’s lands to form their Word of Power and in addition, reclaim the fire from Prometheus while protecting their own fire.

The Greek and Roman nations will be assisted by their own Gods when they are freed from jail…not only does the nation then gain an extra team member, but each God has their own special powers which then can pass on to two of their fellow teammates…”

Statistics:

85% of campers loved War of the Gods. Younger campers particularly, aged 8-12, reported a 91% satisfaction rate with the game! (CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR STATISTICS)

Conquest

Conquest is a run-around game that involves 2 teams competing for the title of “Funniest Clowns that Ever Lived”. The game is run in a capture-the-flag style, only without team boundaries and with slightly different rules.

The Russian Traveling Circus is the greatest circus in the whole world. Unfortunately, the circus’s troop of clowns that were the funniest in the world have retired. The ring master and boss of the circus now has to hire another troop of clowns to entertain the children who come to be entertained. Two rival troops have applied for the job, both led by a clown captain – but unfortunately, neither of them are funny. So there is only one thing left to do… both troops travel to the sacred land of slapstick hoping that if they pray at the six shrines of the clown gods they will become clowns of such skill and such funniness that they will be hired by the amazing world famous Russian Traveling Circus.

If the team captures the six shrines of the clown gods then they will become the funniest clowns that have ever lived, but only one troop will be hired so they must compete.”

Conquest is a fast-paced game with innovative rules to keep both campers’ minds and bodies active…
