In either case, this offering has everything we have learned to help you to develop a quality archery program, or improve an existing program to make it more exciting and fresh. Learn from someone who has taught archery AT CAMPS for 18 consecutive years, honing and expanding the program every year.
Creating your own archery program is always an option, and we’re not claiming to be offering you something that you couldn’t get from somewhere else. However, you will only be able to research about 40% of what we are offering you online, in books and by watching videos. Additionally, we will provide you with valuable insight and experience which will help you eliminate common mistakes and provide an activity that has a working balance of safety, fun and learning.
What you could do:
- Hire someone on your staff to create an archery program from scratch. This will take approximately 40hrs+ of work at roughly $10 per hour, and remember that there is only around 40% of what we offer you available out there to be researched. You will need to:
- Research many archery resources: online, in books, publications, videos.
- Search for equipment online, in local stores, trade magazines, camp conferences, neighboring camps, etc.
- Create your own lesson plans.
- Trial and error the equipment and activity to work out safety points and logistical considerations.

- Extend this program to create a Clout activity (which we also provide as part of the package):

NB: In researching from the internet and in books, you will find only about 40% of the archery information we offer. They will teach you how to do the activity and may show you the set-up for teaching it to others. Rarely is any of this information specific to camp programs.

N.B: Our archery information is based on teaching with recurve bows and much of it is also applicable to compound bows.
